Winter solstice has arrived! We are all anticipating longer days, winter weather and the start of ice fishing season! It is also the holiday season and for many people it is a time to spend with close friends and family. In Alaska many of us are far from family and it is a time to appreciate our Alaskan family and friends.
Winter is also a chance to slow down after the fast pace of life that accompanies summer and fall. A nostalgic time that often leads to reflecting on the seasons gone by and to remind us of the good times past and the good times to come. On that note I would like to thank all my guests from all the years I have been an Alaska fishing guide. Whether fishing the Kenai for trout and char, catching Alaskan salmon or fly fishing for steelhead the trips I take with you guys make my job as a Kenai River fishing guide so rewarding.
Wherever this holiday season finds you I wish you the happiest of holidays surrounded by the people you care about and who care for you. May all of your wishes come true and may 2020 be your best year yet!
Cheers!
